Krystal, or Kryssie to her friends, is one of the sweetest and most gentle SWDs that I have known. She came to live with me as an adult, so I can take no credit for her character - but it is simply lovely. In contrast to my other dogs, Kryssie does not have much of a working drive. If it is all the same to her, she'd rather tuck herself under a friendly palm and stay there for the rest of the day - especially if the palm is attached to a man.
After the passing of time, it became apparent that Krystal would be happier in a setting where she were the sole recipient of attention. She didn't mind sharing my affection with the other dogs, but her true bliss was spent in our one-on-one time. So, I made the very difficult decision to place her in a new home. Kryssie lives just a few miles away with a Mom, Dad and 6 kids of her very own! Talk about bliss!! In her new home, she has really blossomed. She can often be found visiting at the local Senior Center or visiting with elderly shut-ins. Her sweet nature and gentle disposition have made her the perfect therapy dog.
