My boy Whidbey is a delightful character and a handsome one to boot! He is an affectionate boy who demands as much attention as he can get. At home, Whidbey is an attentive watchdog and protective of his house and family. Beyond the property lines, he is a charismatic fellow happy to meet new friends. When it comes time to work, Whidbey loves to swim and he'll retrieve (on land or in the water) tirelessly for hours. It is sometimes hard to tell whether his drive comes from an innate love of the job or just the loads of attention and affection he gets for doing it well.
Whidbey earned his Championship with the American Rare Breed Association after only a few short months. By the fall of 2003, he had earned his Master Championship as well. Whidbey also earned his Canine Good Citizen certification through the American Kennel Club - showing that he is well adjusted and displays good manners.
